Pancreatic Enzymes supports healthy digestion and absorption of food. These natural enzymes are secreted by pancreas: proteases (digest protein), amylase (digest carbohydrates), and lipase (digests fats).

GALINA’s EXPERT OPINION: Based on my clinical experience, I have noticed that most of my patients (including myself) poorly tolerate digestive enzymes fermented from Aspergillus oryzae (A. oryzae), which is a fungus (mold). According to U. S. Environmental Protection Agency “there are handful of reports of isolation of Aspergillus oryzae from patients”. Most patients with GI related diseases have a fungal problem with Candida albica (yeast/mold). Therefore, it’s prudent to avoid ingesting a supplement that can possibly contain the spores of a fungus (mold), which can contribute to unhealthy gut flora. That is why I chose pancreatic enzymes, which are not derived from Aspergillus oryzae.
